V Tatrách sa nachádza vyše 600 km turistických značkovaných chodníkov. Prednosťou našich veľhôr je, že sú vhodné pre každého návštevníka. Nájsť tu môžete značené lesné cestičky pre rodiny s deťmi, nenároční turisti sa môžu vydať do dolín, skúsenejší na niektorý zo sprístupnených štítov. Pre hendikepovaných je vybudovaných viacero bezbariérových trás.

Tatranská magistrála je najvýznamnejšia a najdlhšia značená turistická trasa, ktorá pretína celé južné úbočie Vysokých Tatier od Podbanského až po Veľké Biele pleso. Je značená červenou farbou a dĺžka magistrály je 46,25 km. Trasa vznikla v 30. rokoch 20. Storočia, vedie turistov po celej južnej strane Tatier, v najvyššom bode až do 2037 m n. m. Vysoké Tatry sú pojmom, pod ktorým sa skrýva nevyčísliteľné množstvo krásnej prírody, zážitkov, dobrodružstiev a neopísateľných chvíľ s rodinou či priateľmi. Tatranská príroda rieši telo aj dušu...

Túra k Veľkému Hincovmu plesu, ktorá vedie cez najvýnimočnejšie plesá: zo Štrbského plesa cez Popradské pleso naprieč krásnou Mengusovou dolinou. Trasa po Popradské pleso je sprístupnená aj pre rodiny s deťmi, hendikepovaných a starších turistov.

Najvýznamnejším a najväčším stavebným komplexom na Štrbskom plese je športový areál FIS, vybudovaný na ústí Mlynskej doliny v rokoch 1966 až 1969 na usporiadanie Majstrovstiev sveta FIS 1970 v klasických lyžiarskych disciplínach. Až v roku 2014 pred usporiadaním SZU 2015 sa v obci Štrba, ako vlastníkovi športového areálu FIS podarilo odstrániť doterajšiu kolíziu turistov a bežkárov na časti promenádneho chodníka okolo jazera Štrbské pleso vybudovaním novej časti bežeckých tratí spoza tzv. Štrbské pleso.

There are more than 600 km of marked hiking trails in the Tatras. The advantage of our mountains is that they are suitable for every visitor. There you can find marked forest paths for families with children, undemanding tourists can go on a trip to the valleys, more experienced on anyone of the accessible peaks. Several routes have been built for the disabled.

Tatranska magistrala is the most important and longest marked hiking trail that crosses the entire length of the southern slopes of the High Tatras from Podbanske to Velka Biele pleso. It is marked in red and the length of the highway is 46.25 km. The route originated in the 1930s, leading tourists across the southern side of the Tatras, at the highest point up to 2037 meters above sea level. The High Tatras is a term under which there is an incalculable amount of beautiful nature, experiences, adventures and indescribable moments with family or friends. Nature in the Tatras heals body and soul.

Hike to the Great Hincovo Pleso, which leads through the most unique lakes: from Strbske Pleso through Popradske pleso across the beautiful Mengusova Valley. The route to Popradské pleso is also open to families with children, the disabled and older tourists.

The most important and largest building complex in Štrbské pleso is the FIS sports complex, built at the mouth of the Mlynská dolina between 1966 and 1969 to host the FIS 1970 World Championship in classic ski disciplines. Only in 2014 before the organization of the WWU 2015 in the village of Štrba, as the owner of the FIS sports complex, managed to remove the hitherto collision between tourists and cross-country skiers on the part of the promenade walk around the Štrbské pleso  by building a new part of the running tracks.
